02 What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data designplatinum collects when you visit this website, request a project, or place an order, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
03 Data you provide directly
When you use the contact form or place an order at checkout, we collect the data you enter: name, email address, phone number (where provided), company name (where provided), and billing/postal address (for checkout). This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry, process your order, and issue an invoice.
04 Legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR)
We process this data under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (to perform or prepare a contract with you, e.g. processing an order), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, e.g. analytics cookies), and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website, e.g. basic server logs and spam prevention).
05 Server log data
Like any website, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes standard technical data on each visit — IP address, browser type, date and time of access, pages requested — for the sole purpose of operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This data is not merged with any other data set we hold about you.
06 Local storage (not cookies, but disclosed here too)
This site stores certain functional data in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies — your cart contents, your language preference, your consent choice, your recent form submissions, and your recent order references. None of this is used for tracking and none of it is shared with any third party. Full detail, including exact keys and lifetimes, is at /legal/cookies/.
07 Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, provided by Google Ireland Limited (and, where data is processed in the United States, Google LLC). This runs only after you actively consent to it in the cookie banner or preferences dialog — no analytics script loads, and no analytics cookie is set, before that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
08 Recipients of your data
Your data is processed by designplatinum and, strictly as needed to run this service: our hosting provider (to serve the website), and Google (only for analytics, only after consent, as described above). We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with any party for their own marketing purposes.
09 Retention
Contact-form submissions are retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and are deleted or anonymised thereafter unless a contract results. Order and invoice data is retained for the statutory retention periods that apply to commercial and tax records under German law (typically six to ten years under the HGB and AO), after which it is deleted.
10 International data transfers
Data is otherwise processed within the EU/EEA. Where Google processes analytics data in the United States (only after consent), this is done under the applicable EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or equivalent safeguard mechanism.
11 Your rights
Under Articles 15–21 GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16), have your data erased (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20), and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To exercise any of these rights, write to support@designplatinum.com.
12 Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for designplatinum is the Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI).
13 Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our data practices change. The current version always applies; material changes affecting analytics or consent are reflected in the cookie banner's policy version, which re-prompts your consent choice.
